The program fees are $10,400 for a 52 week postgraduate course. These fees are often tax deductable as they can be claimed as either self-education or staff-training expenses.

Fees may be paid by either the employer or the participant. Employers and participants may also choose to split the fees. The fees may be paid upfront or in monthly instalments.

The fellowship program currently offers an intake of 4-8 fellows per cohort. There are four cohorts each year.

The Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy program currently runs intakes in January, April, July and October.

Yes. Once we receive your application, we will call you to determine your suitability and answer any final questions you may have.

No. Applications from overseas are welcome, as the majority of the weekly tasks and assessments are delivered online. We can offer a virtual induction for overseas students and we will ensure satisfactory skill attainment in the absence of an on the ground mentor.

You will receive a Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy certificate acknowledging that you have completed the training for recognition in the field. The certificate you receive is not endorsed by a university.

The program is run in partnership with the Australian Hand Therapy Association, the peak body for the Hand Therapy profession in Australia.

The Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy is not directly associated with the Accredited Hand Therapist (AHT) credential or its requirements. However, it is an excellent introductory program for those wishing to pursue the credential in the future.
